Offsite: Lecture: Understanding Your Legal Options

Individuals with cancer can face numerous legal and financial challenges during and after their treatment. To increase understanding of these challenges, as well as patients’ knowledge of their options and rights as they progress through therapy and treatment, Ben will discuss Short-Term Disability (STD), Social Security Disability (SSD), Supplemental Security Income (SSI), the Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), as well as health insurance and advance directives. Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions following the lecture to address any specific issues.
