Offsite Lecture: Managing the Side Effects of Aromatase Inhibitors

This lecture will provide an overview of Aromatase Inhibitors (AI’s) and why they are prescribed as treatment and as a preventative measure for individuals who are at increased risk for hormone receptor positive breast cancer. We will address the frequently occurring side effects of AI’s and ways to manage these including exercise, yoga, relaxation techniques and acupuncture. The presenter will provide current evidence-based literature that explains how these methods have been helpful.
