Off-site: Lecture-Life Planning Issues for Cancer Patients,Survivors, & Caregivers
Location:
451 Clarkson Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11203 (C-building 4th Floor-Red Door)
Life planning issues affect everyone – but it’s
particularly crucial for cancer patients and survivors to
know how to protect their decision-making rights and
options by planning in advance. It is important to
enable someone who can express your medical
preferences to doctors on your behalf, take care of
your financial, housing and other issues if you cannot
do so, state your choice of guardian for minor
children, and carry out your wishes regarding the
inheritance of your property. This legal presentation
will discuss the importance of preparing key life
planning documents: Health Care Proxy, Living Will,
Power of Attorney, Disposition of Remains, and a
simple Last Will and Testament.
