Lecture: Making Decisions About End of Life Care
Location:
Dance Hall
Maintaining your voice and agency throughout treatment can be very challenging, especially when receiving multiple or conflicting directions from different clinicians. This presentation will help patients and families understand their rights and the laws that protect them. We will discuss how to designate a surrogate decision maker, and what happens if we don’t have time to do that. We will also discuss how to advocate for appropriate palliative care throughout cancer treatment.
